I SEE YOU.
To those of you who have had struggled....
Experienced challenges beyond words and sadness beyond understanding....
There is so much perfection in what society may label 'imperfection'.
So much wisdom in the toughest of times.
So much knowledge in the difficult lessons.
Some of the people I love & admire most in the world were bullied and tormented, made to feel isolated and alone.
Some have experienced challenges and barriers beyond words. And some are unable to walk or talk, but I SEE them and FEEL them when we lock eyes and THAT is a language that surpasses any verbal word or phrase.
Some of my closest friends were told for years and years that they were not 'allowed' to love the person they loved dearly.... they were not 'allowed' to marry the person they knew they would spend their life with.
Some have health issues that prevent them from doing the things that they love most in the world.
Some are misunderstood & undervalued because they don't fit into the 'box' that human conditioning says they should.
And WOW.
What a freaking gift it is to be in the presence of these incredible souls. Truly; nothing short of a gift!
So here's what I say.
Hell yes to the misfits and the misunderstood!
Hell yes to those who don't fit into boxes and who don't fit the 'mainstream norms'
Hell yes to those who are able to communicate LOVE and their souls voice through their eyes; without a single word spoken.
Hell yes to those who keep fighting; who continue to unapologetically embody & express themselves for all that they are.
Hell yes to the gift that those who have experienced hardship have to give..
and hell yes to those who are fortunate enough to not have.
All of it makes up you and there is only one of you.
Your imperfections are truly what shine as your greatest gift in this world....
A message in the mess.
A gift in the chaos.
Love in all of its colours and shades.
Because in the darkest of nights, the stars shine brightly 🌟
Allow yourself to shine.
